Sale of Belimed AG?s Bedpan Washer Product Division to Lischka GmbH

We are notifying you that Belimed AG sold the Product Area Bedpan Washer to Lischka GmbH. A binding contract for this transaction was signed on 15.06.2007. All of the development documentation, all of the production facilities as well as stocks of semi-finished products in Ballwil are covered by this contract. However the customer relationships and service contracts are not included. This sale will mark the exit of the Belimed Group from the field of Patient Care as of 31.12.2007.

This decision was taken as the Bedpan Washer Products no longer form a part of the strategic direction of the Belimed Group. Lischka GmbH has for many years been a partner to the Ballwil subsidiary of Belimed AG, and, as the main purchaser of bedpan washers, has successfully marketed these in the German market and ensured the necessary customer service. It pleases us that this business could be sold to our long-standing partner and that he will continue to manufacture the bedpan washers in the future.

The Belimed Group will continue to provide customer service for the installed bedpan washers sold by the Group and assure the spare parts? guarantee until 2017. The customer service of B-SAG, B-AT and the CS-Support of B-BW will in particular be affected by this. This concept guarantees the best possible safeguarding of past investments for all Belimed customers in the field of patient care. It ensures that all Belimed customers will be able to continue to rely on the same, competent level of customer service for all bedpan washers that have been installed to date.

The sale of this product area will give the Belimed Group greater scope to focus its efforts on its core tasks as a system provider in the field of infection control. An agreement has been reached with Lischka GmbH that will allow the Belimed Group to purchase bedpan washers in the future as an OEM product, should this become necessary in individual projects.

We wish Lischka GmbH much success with this important step and look forward to the agreeable conclusion of this sale.
